We Members of the Coventry and Warwickshire Humanists:
1) Are supporters of the philosophy of humanism.
2) Meet regularly to discuss the affairs of the day that have a moral content, in the light of humanistic ideas.
3) Take what opportunities are available to increase public knowledge of Humanism as an alternative to religion.
4) Promote the idea of a secular government and publicly oppose religion in so far as it tries to impose on others its views. This includes opposing having an established church, publicly funded faith schools and bishops in the Lords.
5) Are willing to co-operate with liberal churches where there is common ground including opposition to religious fundamentalism.
